Privacy Policy

Last updated 20 October 2026

This policy explains how Safe Knight Security & Traffic Management (“Safe Knight”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Who we are

Safe Knight is the trading name of:

  • A&N Security Pty Ltd T/A Safe Knight (ABN 68 128 890 586), our security business
  • Safe Knight Traffic Pty Ltd (ABN 33 637 848 670), our traffic business

You can contact us at info@skst.com.au, on 1300 911 803, or by post at PO Box 198, Chevron Island, Queensland 4217.

What we collect

  • Enquiries and bookings (contact, security booking and traffic management booking forms): your name, phone number, email address and company, plus details of the job such as the type of service, start date, location and a summary of what you need. If you attach files, such as an approved Traffic Management Plan, Traffic Guidance Scheme or permit, we receive those too.
  • Job applications (careers form): your name, email, phone number, location, the department you are applying for, your licence numbers and expiry dates, and the cover letter and résumé you attach. A résumé may include further details about your work history, qualifications and licences.
  • Calls and emails: if you contact us directly, we keep a record of that conversation and the details you give us.
  • Website visits: anonymous statistics about which pages are viewed and how quickly they load, as described under “Analytics and cookies” below.

Please only send us information that is needed for your enquiry or application. For example, you do not need to include identity document numbers, bank details or health information.

Why we collect it

  • to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote and arrange the services or equipment you ask for;
  • to deliver and manage our security, traffic management and equipment hire services;
  • to assess job applications and contact applicants;
  • to meet our legal, licensing, safety and record-keeping obligations;
  • to keep our website secure, prevent spam and understand how it is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use the details you give us in a form to send marketing unless you ask us to.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only where it is needed to run our business, with:

  • Service providers that host this website (Vercel), deliver the forms to our inbox (Resend) and provide our email and business systems;
  • our professional advisers, and government bodies, regulators or police where the law requires or allows it;
  • Third-party content on this website: the background video on our home page is provided by Vimeo, the trailers on our Our Work page are provided by YouTube (they only load when you press play, using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode), and the map on the Contact page is provided by Google. These providers may collect information such as your IP address and device details when their content loads, under their own privacy policies.

Sending information overseas

Some of the providers above may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure they handle personal information securely and in line with the APPs.

Analytics and cookies

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to count page views and measure how fast pages load. They report the page visited, the referring site, your country, browser and device type, and performance timings. They do not use cookies and are not used to identify you personally. We do not set any other tracking cookies. Embedded third-party content (see above) may set its own cookies or similar technologies.

How we protect and keep your information

This website uses HTTPS, form submissions are sent securely to our email system, and access to that information is limited to people who need it. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so please take care with what you send.

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires, and then securely destroy or de-identify it.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us using the details above. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days.

Complaints

If you are concerned about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us and we will look into it promptly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au (opens in new tab).

Data breaches

If a data breach is likely to result in serious harm to you, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
